1.  Gail Roberts: ‘Color Field’

Art exhibition

September 8 – November 6, 2021
Tuesday to Saturday
 11:00 AM to 5:00PM

Gail Roberts, a San Diego-based artist, has a display of new paintings at Quint Gallery. Color Field was created over the course of four years and consists of 128 evenly scaled paintings of flowers, weeds, and native plants in Roberts’ yard around her studio.

Roberts’ paintings highlight the need to preserve nature’s complexities and biodiversity as rapid erosion and climate catastrophe threaten our planet’s future health and existence by addressing nature’s conflict between order and chaos.

Color Field refers to natural gradients that Roberts organized and categorized by hue. The show is already in action and will be available to the public until November 6, 2021. Entry is free. If you like Gail’s work, make sure you attend the artist lecture on October 9 at 11 AM.

Gail Roberts’ work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. If you are looking for a relaxing and tranquil evening that brings you closer to nature and encourages you to play your part in preserving the planet, then this is the place for you.
