Enjoy San Diego’s Most Happening Beer Scene 

East Village’s craft beer scene has been around for a long time. Across from the ballpark, the historic Stone Tap Room serves you traditional ales, and many people enjoy Half Door Brewing and other craft breweries in the area. Although this is a relatively small area, there are numerous artisan brewers and tasting rooms within a few miles, making it the perfect place to experience some of the best beer in San Diego. The following breweries and tasting rooms are currently found in the East Village.

1. Half Door Brewing Co

BeerThe Half Door Brewing is a traditional Irish pub. The Meals HDBC’s cuisine combines creative comfort food with great house-brewed beer to create the perfect dining experience. Several of the house beers are brewed on-site and served alongside specialty cuisine. 2. Amplified Ale Works

BeerAmplified Ale Works is a wonderful venue with glass and concrete walls and high ceilings that let in plenty of natural light during the day. Many people can sit at picnic tables with umbrellas on the patio or at community tables that are set up inside. It’s a two-bar establishment: there’s a coffee bar immediately at your entrance and a beer bar across the hall. 3. Mission Brewery

BeerLocated right next to Petco Park, the Mission Brewery in downtown San Diego’s East Village has been producing commercial-quality beer for over seven years. It is one of the best craft breweries in San Diego County, having won 25 national and international accolades. The historic Wonder Bread building houses Mission’s 3000-square-foot tasting room and 11,000-square-foot brewery, where they make all of their handmade beer. A Bit About the Neighborhood

East Village is a small and lively neighborhood with the Convention Center, hotels, Petco Park, and transportation hubs all within walking distance. Visitors to the Gaslamp Quarter can easily make their way over to the East Village for a pint of artisan beer. East Village is also seeing a lot of new apartment buildings, and it appears to be aimed at young professionals – a demographic known for its affinity for craft beer.
