Harney Sushi: Sushi at the Heart of San Diego
New and inventive, Harney Sushi is San Diego’s most prestigious sushi bar and restaurant located in the heart of the city, i.e., Old Town. It is the destination where creativity and celebration collide, where excellent culinary service and expertise collide with a vibrant personality and sense of flair.
Since 2001, they have provided award-winning, sustainable sushi to the Southern California region. The ‘sustainable’ aspect comes in as they carefully select their produce as advised by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch. In fact, they have listed the sources of all of their meat on their website.
Their sustainable seafood variety includes the Kona Blue Kampachi, Shrimp, Sablefish, Sockeye Salmon, Rock Shrimp, Striped Bass, Mt. Cook Alpine Salmon, Big Eye Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Mackerel, Shell Fish, Albacore, and Scallops.
Other produce is grown at McGrath and Yasutomi Farms, Polito Family Farms, Suzie’s Farms, among others, along with Our Neighbor’s Organic Garden. Even their poultry, pork, and beef are obtained while keeping sustainability in mind.
Hormones and antibiotics are never given to their cattle. These cattle are fed a vegetarian diet exclusively. They’re fed only an organic diet and consumables like hay, grains, pasture grass, and legumes before being completed on a corn-based diet for authentic corn-fed taste.
Harney Sushi is particularly acclaimed for its exclusive specialty rolls, which you cannot find anywhere else. What makes them stand out is their variety of ingredients, from shishito peppers, fried onions, asparagus, and vegetables to New York steak slices.
They have sixteen specialty rolls, the most famous ones being the I Dare You and the Flaming Lip, as well as vegetarian rolls and specialty sashimi. Harney Sushi aims to create one-of-a-kind rolls that allow you to have a new and refreshing experience each time. Their priority is to ensure you have a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
Moreover, they even have sushi catering services if you would like to bring an extra flair to your events. In addition to sushi platters, they have a variety of authentic Japanese food that your guests will be talking about for a long time!
If you have a craving for sushi and want to experience it in an elegant and sophisticated restaurant in San Diego, Harney Sushi should be your go-to. Click here to book your reservation and get prepared for an exquisite fine dining experience!
