Chad Anglin and Amy Paul, a husband-and-wife team, came up with the concept for Pigment. Longtime residents of San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, the duo decided to create a shop in 2007 to promote Amy’s artwork. Though the location was designed to be more of a gallery at first, they began to stock a carefully curated range of design-conscious goods.
It didn’t take long for the 1,500 square foot facility to blossom into a full-scale concept shop with a modern organic look. Chad and Amy have evolved Pigment into a one-stop store for art, flora, and thoughtful gifts, incorporating plenty of locally made things with globally recognized brands, inspired mainly by nature and their appreciation of beautiful design.
