ArtWalk @ Liberty Station, August 6 -7
At the stunning Liberty Station, ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will mark 17 years of showcasing fine art in San Diego in 2022. More than 150 artists from several states and Mexico attend the exhibition to showcase and sell their works of art, which include paintings, photographs, glass and ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture. The event honors creativity on both sides of the border. San Diego’s main location for the arts, museums, eating, and entertainment has developed into the Arts District at Liberty Station. The stunning outdoor environment includes a lush lawn, lovely water elements, and plenty of unrestricted parking.
Fabulous Hillcrest, August 14
On Sunday, August 14, 2022, as part of Hillcrest CityFest, San Diego’s ultimate summertime art and music festival takes over 5th Avenue from 12 pm until 11 pm!
Live bands, electronic dance music DJs, arts, crafts, and cuisine will be featured at our annual celebration of community spirit, which draws over 150,000 guests from San Diego and Southern California! This is the BIGGEST and BEST art and music festival in San Diego, covering more than nine city blocks and measuring about half a mile in length! Our charming shops and restaurants along 5th, Robinson, and University, which are located in the colorful and lively town of Hillcrest, will come alive with community energy, providing you a place to dig into and explore!
BeerX San Diego Craft Beer and Music Festival, August 20
At Waterfront Park, fantastic music and craft beer are featured during Beer X. (2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) Two hours of limitless sampling of more than 100 craft beers from 50 nearby and regional breweries.
San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival, August 26-28
In Carlsbad, California, the Schulman Auditorium will host the San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival (SDIKFF) from August 26 to August 28.
The San Diego International Kids Film Festival actively promotes cutting-edge films produced by filmmakers from all over the world in an effort to promote positive educational influence on children and youth. Through its screenings of high-caliber movies, television shows in both short and long form, as well as works in documentaries, animation, educational visual arts, and mixed media, the festival provides an excellent multi-cultural platform for educators, students, and aspiring filmmakers to engage with one another.
