The Hand of God

Movie
Genre: Drama
Rating: 7.3 IMDB
Streaming on: Netflix

The hand of God (Italian: stata la mano di Dio) is a 2021 Italian drama film coming from Academy Award-winning writer and director Paolo Sorrentino (Il Divo, The Great Beauty, The Young Pope).

Filippo Scotti, Toni Servillo, Teresa Saponangelo, Marlon Joubert, Luisa Ranieri, Renato Carpentieri, Massimiliano Gallo, Betti Pedrazzi, Biagio Manna, and Ciro Capano are among those who appear in the film. The movie is an autobiographical look at Sorrentino’s childhood in Naples.

Fabietto, a small boy, resides at home in Naples with his parents, Maria and Saverio Schisa, in the 1980s. He wants to study philosophy in college but doesn’t have many friends or a significant other. He spends his time listening to music and watching Diego Maradona play for his home team, Napoli. He is accompanied to acting tryouts by his brother Marchino, who understands his feelings regarding their emotionally unstable aunt Patrizia. The Schisa family is thereafter devastated by tragedy, and Fabietto grows up in a heartless and ruthless way.
