As we have already mentioned in our Must Visit Events in July – the Big Bay Boom awaits us for the 4th of July shenanigans.
Here is our guide on what festivities will be going on in the most colorful day of the year – Independence Day!
1. The Big Bay Boom
is displayed from Four barges and starts at 9 pm. The Big Bay Boom can be seen from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embascadero and Marina District, Seaport Village/ South Embarcadero, and Coronado Ferry Landing. Visit some of the restaurants that offer special menus during this day, or simply bring a camping chair and sit outside looking at the wonderful show.
2. SeaWorld® San Diego’s Electric Ocean & Fireworks Spectacular Show
Seaworld is organizing an amazing event to celebrate Independence Day. With prolonged working hours, special nighttime shows, and of course, fireworks, Seaworld is ready to take your breath away.
3. Red, White and BOOM at Legoland®
If you are looking for a place to spend this holiday with your family, Legoland is the place to go! This event includes many games for the whole family, a costume parade, and character meet and greets for the little ones. Of course, the night ends with a spectacular fireworks show in the spirit of 4th of July.
4. Belmont Park
Enjoy a fun day at Belmont Park during this special day, and ride roller coasters for some adrenaline pumped. Here you can enjoy arcade games, bumper cars, laser tag and many more fun family time activities. You will be able to see The Mission Beach fireworks from this location, so the 4th of July experience will be complete.
5. San Diego County Fair
The fair with many fun activities will culminate on the 4th of July, bringing a combination of exhibits and activities for everyone to enjoy. There are many fun things for kids to experience, like the winged monkey DJ dance party, while parents can also enjoy various wine-tasting and different kinds of shows and exhibits made for the older audience.
